Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO, seeks a dedicated registered nurse leader to organize and coordinate the unit during night shifts. You will supervise staff, ensure safe patient care, and support admissions and patient flow while maintaining compliance with standards.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, staff development, and collaboration with the care team to uphold AdventHealth’s healing mission.

Qualifications

• Associate's in Nursing required
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
• ACLS and BLS CPR certifications required or eligible
• CHEMO certification and EFM training preferred
• ENPC/NRP/PALS/NIHSS/TNCC/TCAR credentials strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Directs, organizes, and prioritizes shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriate admissions/cases and staff skill mix for safe patient care.
• Participates in interviewing and selection of new staff.
• Provides feedback on staff performance and conducts audits of documentation, charges, and outcomes.
• Resolves patient complaints and liaises with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Monitors supply usage and costs to maintain fiscal accountability.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
• Delegates tasks per State Board and hospital policy; serves as a professional role model.
• Pursues continuing education opportunities to maintain competence.
