Job summary

AdventHealth Denver is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Leader to provide leadership and coordination of the unit’s daily operations during the day shift. You will ensure patient care and staff needs are met, and participate in hiring and performance feedback.

The role requires RN licensure, 1+ clinical RN experience, and BLS; you will monitor staffing, patient flow, and fiscal accountability while serving as a liaison to the multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Clinical RN experience required.
• RN license in the state where employed.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination of unit operations during shift.
• Direct, organize, and prioritize shift activities to ensure patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensure appropriate admissions/case mix and staff skill mix for safe care.
• Participate in interviewing and selecting new staff; provide feedback on performance.
• Conduct audits of documentation, patient charges, and outcomes.
• Resolve patient complaints affecting care; act as liaison to care team.
• Monitor unit supply usage and costs for fiscal accountability.
• Assist management with regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Delegate tasks per nursing policy and state board guidance.
• Model ethical, legal, and professional nursing practices.
• Pursue learning opportunities to maintain clinical skills.
