Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced setting in New York. You will manage patient flow, collect vitals, document in the EHR, and coordinate testing and admissions. The role requires MA certification within 4 months and strong communication skills.

Experience in medical office tasks, scheduling, and insurance pre-certification is preferred. English proficiency and attention to detail are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification required within 4 months of hire.
• 2–4 years’ experience preferred in clinical or urgent care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician/PA/NP with clinical and clerical duties.
• Schedule tests and procedures in PMS/EHR.
• Obtain vital signs and document accurately in EHR.
• Manage pre-certifications, testing prior to admission, and care coordination.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS/EHR.
• Provide referrals and consult orders promptly.
