Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Surgical First Assistant to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. The ideal candidate is a trained professional capable of assisting surgeons during operations, maintaining aseptic techniques, and managing surgical instruments and supplies. Responsibilities include assisting with tissue handling, wound retraction, hemostasis, suturing, and other technical tasks. The role may involve rotating to different service areas, onboarding new staff, and being available for call duties.

Qualifications include:

• Registration as a Surgical Assistant by Colorado Division of Registration (DORA) and current certification as a CSFA or equivalent from NBSTSA, NSAA, or ABSA.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and completion of a First Assistant Program.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Current BLS certification.
