Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Pennsylvania is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to provide general assistance to anesthesia providers before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will prepare monitoring equipment, assist with anesthesia procedures, position patients, and transport supplies.

Maintain a clean, stocked OR work area and communicate effectively with OR staff. CPR may be required; Universal Precautions are observed.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia providers before, during, and after procedures; applies monitoring equipment and supports anesthesia procedures.
• Acquires anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures and workroom.
• Maintains a neat, clean, and stocked work area.
• Demonstrates effective communication with anesthesia providers and OR staff.
• Responds in a timely manner; follows Universal Precautions during patient care and handling of equipment.
• May assist with CPR and other directed activities.
• Demonstrates appropriate prioritization in decision making and scheduling within the scope of responsibilities.
