Job summary

Premier Veterinary Group Chicago is seeking a Veterinary Technician in Surgery/Anesthesia to join a collaborative team in a high-acuity environment. You will support anesthesia protocols, monitor patients, educate clients, and assist with advanced procedures in a busy emergency/specialty hospital.

The role offers a full-time schedule with 1st shift and nine-hour shifts, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credentialing is required.
• At least two years of veterinary anesthesia experience, preferably in emergency/surgical settings.
• Strong knowledge of anesthetic protocols, monitoring, pain management, and recovery.
• Experience with ASA classifications 3–5 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run patient appointments for the Surgery department.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologist during consultations, admissions, and discharges with client education.
• Induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia for soft tissue, orthopedic, and advanced procedures.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and ensure sterile technique and equipment readiness.
