Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a surgical aide to serve in the operating room at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The role includes day shifts (7 am–4 pm and 10 am–7 pm), with evening shifts (3 pm–12 am) and on-call one out of every four weeks, plus one weekend every four weeks and a holiday rotation.

Primary duties are cleaning and stocking, with occasional patient transport. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment at the St.

• Under the direction of the Business Manager, stocks and censuses supplies and equipment in all areas of OR-Surgical Services and Perfusion to ensure the maintenance of proper levels of supplies, materials and equipment.
• Maintains department/work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition to assure safe operation and product integrity.
• Additonal responsibilities will include the transport of stable patients from inpatient rooms and assisting transporting critical patients from the ICU and ER to the operating room or pre-op area.
