Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Level 14 General Surgery Unit at St Mary’s Medical Center. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including hygiene, feeding support, and vital signs, while maintaining safety and comfort.

The role requires 6 months of CNA experience or equivalent training, state registry, and BLS certification with a 1-month window to obtain.

Qualifications

• 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month from hire date.
