MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Garden City, Idaho, seeks a Surgery Veterinary Assistant to support the surgical team. You will manage appointments, take histories, and help with post-operative care and client communication.

The role requires prior veterinary experience; a State Registered Veterinary Technician license is preferred, with strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Competitive benefits and shift pay offered.

Formación

• State-registered veterinary technician license preferred.
• Prior veterinary experience required; surgery experience desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical records, invoicing, discharges, etc.
• Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments.
• Create patient releases, discuss treatment plans and financial obligations with clients.
• Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning; assist with intubation and radiographs.
• Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Open, turn over and clean operating rooms; clean instruments and wrap packs.
