BluePearl Pet Hospital in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Assistant to support our Surgery Department. The role requires 2+ years in a veterinary hospital, teamwork, and a rotating on-call schedule after training. Pay ranges from $23 to $31 per hour with a 4-day-like schedule.

The successful candidate will provide nursing care, IV placement, patient monitoring, and fluid administration while supporting a larger team focused on pet care excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Ability to work independently within a team.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule after training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable surgical patients per hospital standards.
• Place peripheral IV catheters and monitor vital signs.
• Administer fluids and manage IV pumps and connections.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and alert doctors as needed.
