MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Surgery Veterinary Doctor Coordinator to support surgeons during shifts, help coordinate referrals and diagnostics, and ensure seamless post-operative care instructions.

The role requires veterinary experience, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports specific doctor(s) for a given shift and may support different doctors.
• Ensures follow through of departmental workflow for the supported doctors.
• Collaborates on scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics.
• Delegates team responsibilities and mentors junior staff when needed.
• Acts as point of contact for referral transfers and inquiries.
• Provides client communication and documents initial patient history and plans.
