Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of health unit coordinator course or related medical terminology coursework.
• Specialized education options include acute/long-term care nursing assistant courses or EMT/medical assistant programs.
• Six months nursing assistant experience if specialized education is not met.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or MTN equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient/resident care and assist nursing staff as per care plans.
• Collect, record and report patient/resident data and condition changes.
• Provide clerical support: phone, data entry, and distributing information.

Skills

Clerical experience in healthcare
