Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support ensuring patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

You will obtain CPT/ICD-10 codes and assist with documentation, scheduling, and authorizations in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires coordinating with practice staff and facilities to streamline daily OR scheduling, with responsibilities spanning documentation, patient data, and insurance verification to ensure appropriate authorizations and

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred.
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information from practice staff; seek assistance as needed.
• Prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices.
• Determine OR time needed for procedures and coordinate scheduling with the Facility, including anesthesia coverage and required records.
• Ensure scheduling packets are correct and timely.
• Obtain patient face sheets from Insurance Verification to secure necessary authorizations.
• Obtain authorization notes from Facility and scan into the medical record.
