Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical office or clinic experience scheduling patients for pre-surgery work ups and/or surgery appointments.
• Typing 25 wpm or as required by facility.
• Knowledge of pre-operative test requests and screening procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinic and hospital staff and patients.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries (inpatient and outpatient) and pre-operative appointments.
• Prepare pre-operative forms and schedule pre-operative exams.
• Prepare statistical reports on surgical services.
