Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Southeast Michigan to coordinate surgical procedures and related appointments. You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting providers and ensuring smooth scheduling and communication.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent medical reception duties, with proficiency in check-in, check-out, and phone handling, contributing to exceptional patient service and efficient

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent training.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent medical reception duties.
• Proficiency in medical reception core functions (check-in, check-out and phones).

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
