Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Surgery Scheduler at the Denville Surgery Center. The role focuses on scheduling pediatric and adult procedures, verifying insurance when needed, and maintaining accurate, timely surgical calendars.

Responsibilities include coordinating OR time, communicating with surgeons and the OR Director, preparing weekly schedules, and ensuring smooth turnover between cases. Excellent communication, organization, and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in surgery scheduling and/or medical office.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedules all surgical procedures.
• Obtains and enters information from surgeon or scheduler for OR time.
• Communicates with OR Director/Administrator regarding block time and staffing.
• Prepares and distributes a weekly and final schedule; minimizes room downtime.
• Contacts surgeon offices to confirm times and procedures two days prior.
• Supports marketing efforts as needed and cross-trains in front desk areas.
