Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler / Patient Procedure Coordinator in Peoria, AZ, to own the patient journey from order to completion. This role requires warmth, confidence discussing finances, and strong organization to ensure procedures are scheduled accurately and on time.

You will coordinate scheduling with providers, facilities, and clinical staff, verify insurance, and review pre‑procedure instructions while maintaining detailed EMR records and proactive follow‑ups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical-office experience
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorization
• Experience discussing patient financial responsibility
• Experience using an electronic medical record system
• Previous surgery or procedure scheduling experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical/procedure scheduling from orders to completion
• Contact patients promptly to schedule and confirm dates
• Explain scheduling process clearly to patients
• Verify insurance details and authorization requirements
• Work with authorization team to ensure readiness
• Discuss patient financial responsibility confidently
• Document communications in the EMR
• Coordinate with hospitals and ambulatory centers
