The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of orthopaedic scheduling experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and phone systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in orthopaedics or similar medical scheduling environment.
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and phone systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical procedures with physicians, patients, and facilities
• Maintain and manage surgical schedules with accuracy and timeliness
• Communicate surgical instructions, preparation details, and post-op requirements to patients
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for surgical services
• Serve as primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and operating facilities
• Track surgical authorizations and collaborate with authorization team to ensure compliance
• Maintain accurate patient and surgical documentation in the EHR
• Resolve scheduling conflicts or delays and escalate as needed
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management
