Job summary

BASS Medical Group in Walnut Creek, CA seeks a Medical Assistant with Surgery Scheduling experience to join our Neurosurgery Office. The role covers surgery scheduling, front and back office duties, and coordinating radiology procedures along with assisting with minor office procedures.

Responsibilities include answering phones, patient scheduling, handling prior authorizations, and maintaining EHR proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills and multitasking ability are required.

Qualifications

• Must be Medical Assistant with Surgery Scheduling experience.
• Excellent customer service and personal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Comfort interacting with all ages.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Surgery Scheduling
• Answering phones
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Responding to patient calls (Surgery Scheduling, Lab results, medication refills, etc.)
• Assisting surgeon with minor procedures in the office
• Prior Authorizations (Surgery, Medication, Imaging, Workers Comp, etc.)
• Computer skills – EHR knowledge, savvy in computer navigation, data entry, etc.
