Job summary

HCA FL Heart & Health Woodmont is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring all required documentation and authorizations are obtained prior to surgery. You will work closely with physicians, facility staff and patients to ensure a seamless scheduling process.

The role involves obtaining CPT/ICD-10 codes, scheduling OR time, confirming credentialing, and coordinating provider schedules while adhering to HIPAA and HCA conduct guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• BLS may be required per practice standard.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules surgical procedures with physicians, staff and patients.
• Determines OR time and coordinates anesthesia coverage and required documentation.
• Verifies physician credentialing at the facility before scheduling.
• Coordinates provider clinic and facility schedules, meetings and education activities.
• Adheres to HIPAA and HCA Code of Conduct and related policies.
