What You’ll Do:

As a Surgery Scheduler/Coordinator, you’ll be the central point of communication for scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating all related logistics. Your work directly impacts patient care, efficiency, and overall experience.

• Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with physicians, operating rooms, anesthesia teams, and facilities
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, preparation, and instructions
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
• Ensure all required documentation, labs, and clearances are completed prior to surgery
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records
• Serve as a compassionate resource for patients with questions or concerns

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Terminology Course desired.
• Former experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute.
• Some knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to document in Cerner and Surgery Management.
