University of Louisville Hospital is seeking a scheduling clerk to support the surgical unit. You will perform clerical duties, verify patient demographics in Cerner, and schedule all future surgeries under supervision. The role requires strong communication with physicians, patients, and staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with Cerner, and the ability to type at least 30 wpm. Prior scheduling experience is advantageous in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required, medical terminology preferred.
• Experience as a clerical assistant or scheduler is expected, with familiarity in Cerner systems.
• Strong typing, communication, and data gathering abilities are essential.

Responsabilités

• Perform clerical duties on the unit under supervision of the Charge Nurse & Unit Management.
• Schedule all future surgeries for the unit and off-site anesthesia cases.
• Collect patient demographics and verify accuracy in Cerner; print labels and manage pre-op paperwork.
