Job summary

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Spokane to serve as the primary contact for physicians and patients. You will coordinate and schedule surgeries, follow-up appointments, and any additional required appointments as determined by the physicians.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to manage insurance authorizations and documentation for surgical procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer/patient service is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Surgery scheduling experience is preferred.
• Medical office experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries, pre- and post-surgical appointments, and any physician-requested requirements.
• Provide excellent service to patients and team members.
• Obtain surgical insurance authorizations and document in chart prior to surgery.
• Complete all surgical documents for workers' compensation and disability.
• Route paperwork to meet physician, hospital, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and complete required training.

The Surgery Scheduler serves as the primary contact for the physician and patients to coordinate and schedule their surgeries, follow up appointments, and any other required appointments as determined by the physicians.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates and schedules surgeries, all pre and post-surgical appointments, and any other requirements as requested by the physicians.
• Provides excellent customer service to our patients and team members.
• Obtains surgical insurance authorizations and documents in chart prior to surgery.
• Completes all surgical documents for workers compensation and disability.
• Routes all paperwork as needed to meet physician, TOSC and hospital requirements.
• Maintains strictest patient confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA regulations and completes required staff training.

Qualifications

Wage Range: $18.02 to $29.58
