Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners, LLC is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our Surgery Counselor Team. You will schedule patients for surgery, collect necessary paperwork, and provide education throughout the patient journey.

This full-time role requires strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills. You will verify insurance, explain benefits and costs, complete consents, and coordinate with facilities to ensure a smooth pre- and post-operative process.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong multi-tasking and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients for all surgeries.
• Verify medical insurance for surgery and injections.
• Discuss benefits and costs of non-covered benefits with patients.
• Complete consent form and other necessary forms for surgery.
• Send proper paperwork to appropriate surgical facility or hospital.
• Inform patient of pre-admission testing, day of surgery expectations and follow-up care.
• Type up medical history and physical forms.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Surgery Scheduler you will play a key role on our Surgery Counselor Team, providing education and guidance throughout the patient's experience. You will schedule patients for surgery and ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed.

Full Time Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am - 6:00pm.
• No weekends.

What you will be working on

• Counsel patients for all surgeries
• Verify medical insurance for surgery and injections
• Discuss benefits and costs of non-covered benefits with patients
• Complete consent form and other necessary forms for surgery
• Send proper paperwork to appropriate surgical facility or hospital
• Inform patient of any pre-admission testing, what is expected day of surgery, answer any pre-surgical questions and inform of follow-up care
• Type up medical history and physical forms
• Other duties as assigned
