Job summary

United Surgical Partners International in Hawaii seeks a Surgery Scheduler to join our outpatient endoscopy team. The role involves daily maintenance of the surgery schedule, coordinating with doctors’ offices and OR staff, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Monday through Friday daytime hours with pay range depending on experience. The candidate will also handle Front Desk Receptionist duties, greet patients and families, answer calls, admit patients, and keep demographics updated in the system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hospital or medical office experience required.
• Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
• Professional communication both verbal and non-verbal.
• Strong medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily surgery schedule and scheduling process.
• Assist with Front Desk Receptionist duties and interface with patients, families, physicians, vendors and staff.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Admit patients and process paperwork; update demographics in system.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

The Surgery Scheduler plays a vital role in a successful surgical procedure. The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process. This includes strategizing and problem solving and ensuring high levels of customer service with scheduling coordinators from all doctors' offices and operating room staff.

This position will also assist with Front Desk Receptionist duties. Duties include interfacing with patients and families, physicians, vendors and staff; Answering incoming phone calls; Admit patients and process their paperwork; Updating patient demographics/information in system.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding leadership, communication and customer service skills as well as the ability to diffuse difficult scheduling conflicts efficiently with strategy. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs.

Monday - Friday daytime work hours.

The starting pay range is $20 - $29/hour depending on experience

Required Skills:
