Job summary

Parallel ENT & Allergy is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our established Central Texas practice. You will coordinate surgical procedures, ensure timely scheduling, and collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to align the best timing for surgeries.

The role is full-time, on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, and an attractive benefits package plus PTO. You will maintain accurate records, update EHR systems, and provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions to

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven experience in surgical scheduling or healthcare administration.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, personable demeanor.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring appropriate time slots, facilities, and resources are available.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and patients to determine the optimal timing for surgeries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding surgical scheduling. Address patient questions, concerns, and inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Communicate detailed information about surgical procedures, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care.
• Maintain records of all scheduled surgeries, and relevant medical documentation. Update electronic health records (EHR) and other databases accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork, consent forms, and insurance authorizations are completed and submitted as required.
