Job summary

CENTRAL TEXAS SINUS & ALLERGY PLLC is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our team in College Station, TX. This role focuses on coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures, communicating with physicians and patients, and managing pre- and post-operative instructions.

We offer a weekday-only schedule (Mon-Fri), a comprehensive benefits package, and PTO. The ideal candidate has prior surgical scheduling experience, strong computer and communication skills, and a detail-oriented, multitasking

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Proven experience in surgical scheduling or healthcare administration.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring appropriate time slots, facilities, and resources are available.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and patients to determine the optimal timing for surgeries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding surgical scheduling.
  • Communicate detailed information about surgical procedures, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care.
  • Maintain records of all scheduled surgeries, and relevant medical documentation.
  • Update electronic health records (EHR) and other databases accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork, consent forms, and insurance authorizations are completed and submitted as required.
