Job summary

OrthoArizona in Chandler, AZ seeks a full-time Surgery Scheduler to join our growing orthopedic team. You will coordinate surgeries, manage calendars, and communicate with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of medical scheduling experience, familiarity with practice management software, and strong written and verbal communication skills. We offer comprehensive benefits in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule surgeries.
• Communicate necessary information to patients, staff, and physicians.
• Verify necessary information and records information in patient's medical record.
• Coordinate necessary equipment, surgical assists, and anesthesia relative to surgeries.
• Maintain and updates physician's calendars.
• Answer telephone, screens calls, clears voicemail, returns patient calls in a timely manner.
• Answer questions regarding patient's upcoming surgeries.
• Update patient information.
• Prepare surgical packet materials.
• Assist in training and orienting of new staff.

As a Surgery Scheduler with OrthoArizona, you will get to:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year experience of medical scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience surgery scheduling.
