Job summary

Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas, part of Lifepoint Health®, seeks a dedicated Surgery RN to deliver direct patient care across pre-op, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia phases. You’ll join a busy Surgical Services team committed to exceptional patient care, teamwork, and professional growth.

The role requires TN RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred).

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Circulates surgical and endoscopic procedures.
• Administers medications and assists with specimen collection.
• Transports and cares for patients from pre-op through same-day discharge.
• Cleans and prepares rooms between cases.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical staff to ensure quality care.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge instructions.
