Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System seeks a Residency/Fellowship Coordinator for Surgery General to support the Program Director, administrators, and GME Office. Responsibilities include accreditation, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, evaluations, conferences, compliance, and alumni activities.

In this role you will coordinate meetings, manage NRMP/rank processes, oversee onboarding steps, and assist with budget and documentation to maintain accreditation status and smooth program

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of relevant work experience.
• Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
• Preferred qualifications include five (5) years’ experience in an academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation: plan and record meetings, ensure timely reporting to GME/ACGME.
• Recruitment: coordinate interviews, distribute packets, manage ranking/matching materials.
• Onboarding: communicate dates, coordinate licensing/certifications, organize onboarding.
• Schedules/Rotations: create rotation schedules with program leadership, obtain GMEC approval.
• Evaluations: manage evaluation timing, coordinate delivery of evaluations to leadership.
• Conferences: assist with daily conferences and Grand Rounds logistics, AV setup.
• Compliance/Testing: track leave, support exams, manage residency files.
• Reports and Presentations: prepare residency program reports and surveys.
• Graduating/Alumni: plan graduation events, coordinate post-graduation documentation.
• Other Duties: manage faculty data, website updates, plan events.
