Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Residency Program Coordinator to support an accredited General Surgery residency by managing daily operations, coordinating recruitment, and ensuring adherence to ACGME standards. You will collaborate with program leadership, residents, and faculty to foster an optimal training environment.

The role involves coordinating accreditation activities, maintaining records, and supporting educational programming, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, scheduling, and budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of related administrative, healthcare, education, or program coordination experience.
• Experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) or academic medicine.
• Knowledge of ACGME accreditation standards.
• Experience with ERAS, NRMP, MedHub, or similar residency management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of an accredited residency/fellowship program.
• Support program directors, faculty, and residents with program administration and policies.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation requirements and maintain accreditation records.
• Coordinate resident recruitment, interviews, rankings, onboarding, orientation, and graduation activities.
• Administer ERAS, NRMP, and/or San Francisco Match processes.
• Maintain resident and alumni records, evaluations, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate resident scheduling, training, leave requests, promotions, and verification activities.
• Schedule educational conferences, committee meetings, and program events.
• Monitor program budgets and assist with financial tracking.
