You will oversee patient care, coordinate unit operations, and collaborate with disciplines to improve care delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state.
• 5 years of surgical clinical experience with 1–2 years of progressive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help create a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices for safety and quality.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development to patient care needs by age group.
• Lead staffing: interview, hire and train new staff.
• Oversee unit care with consistent clinical support to staff.
• Complete competency checklists and ensure unit standards of care.
• Maintain unit workflow with appropriate staffing levels.
• Coordinate all unit activities including safety and department operations.
• Address patient, visitor, or physician concerns promptly and professionally.
• Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to staff.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve patient care delivery.
