HCA Healthcare's TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Surgery Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations of the surgical unit, manage staffing and ensure high-quality patient care. This leadership role drives adherence to policies, mentors staff, and collaborates across disciplines to improve outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure and substantial surgical nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state.
• At least 5 years of surgical nursing experience with 1–2 years of progressive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Create a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Manage staffing needs, interview, hire and train new staff.
• Oversee unit care with consistent support and staff development.
• Ensure unit workflow with proper staffing levels and adherence to standards of care.
• Coordinate unit activities including safety, goals and operations.
• Handle patient, visitor and physician concerns professionally.
• Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to department staff.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve patient care delivery.
