Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited veterinary school is required.
• 5+ years of small animal general practice experience is required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in West Virginia.
• Experience performing soft-tissue surgery is essential.
• Strong companion animal dentistry and dental extraction experience is needed.
• Ability to independently evaluate patients and manage surgical cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to dogs and cats.
• Perform soft-tissue surgical procedures and dental procedures including extractions.
• Evaluate surgical candidates and develop pre- and postoperative plans.
• Utilize imaging and in-house diagnostics to support care.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of conditions and preventive care.
• Communicate treatment options and follow-up with clients clearly.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases and mentor others.
