Fairmont Veterinary Hospital in Fairmont, WV is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our surgery-focused team. We require a DVM with 5+ years of small animal practice and comfort with soft-tissue surgery and advanced dental procedures.

The role offers opportunities to perform a variety of surgical procedures, dental work, and collaboration with a skilled team. A hybrid schedule including appointments may be possible.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited veterinary school.
• 5+ years of small animal general practice experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in West Virginia.
• Experience performing soft-tissue surgery.
• Strong dentistry experience including dental extractions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to dogs and cats.
• Perform soft-tissue surgical procedures and dental procedures.
• Evaluate surgical candidates and develop pre- and post-operative plans.
• Utilize in-house diagnostics to support patient care.
• Communicate treatment options and risks to clients.
• Collaborate with veterinarians on complex cases and surgical planning.
• Mentor and share surgical knowledge with team.
• Build relationships with clients and their pets.
