The Surgery Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of materials required for surgical procedures. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of inventory, surgical instruments, and related materials to medical facilities and other designated locations.
The Surgery Coordinator will work closely with internal staff, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and warehouse teams to coordinate surgery requisitions, fulfill inventory requests, manage shipments and returns, and maintain accurate, real-time inventory status.
Coordinate with staff to ensure surgery requisitions are submitted accurately and within required timelines.
Review surgery orders for completeness and accuracy and make recommendations based on prior usage when appropriate.
Fulfill surgery requests accurately and within established required timeframes.
Use ERP/MRP software to loan, receive, ship, issue, and track inventory.
Collaborate with Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and on-site warehouse teams to fulfill surgery-related orders.
Assist warehouse personnel with manual order fulfillment as needed.
Ensure the timely return of inventory and maintain accurate, real-time status updates.
Box, pack, label, and ship surgical instruments and other required materials.
Safely handle deliveries, shipments, inventory, instruments, and returns.
Monitor inventory movement and ensure materials are available when required for scheduled surgeries.
Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders regarding order status, inventory requirements, and potential issues.
Follow established procedures and instructions to ensure accuracy, safety, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Take ownership of assigned processes and work collaboratively with team members to meet operational requirements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Surgical Coordination, Inventory Management, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
