Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Lynnwood, WA, seeks a Veterinary Referral Coordinator-Surgery to manage day-to-day coordination of the surgery department. You will liaise between surgery teams and clients, keeping them informed and supporting doctors to optimize case flow.

Reports to the Client Service Manager with oversight from hospital leadership. The role requires strong veterinary/client-service experience, excellent communication, and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced specialty hospital

Qualifications

• Experience in the veterinary field for two or more years, with client service and/or veterinary assisting preferred.
• Ability to follow OSHA standards and hospital policies.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy toward clients.

Responsibilities

• Support Surgeon and Surgery team.
• Create and submit diagnostic requests for the doctor.
• Monitor diagnostic results in EzyVet and ensure review.
• Create estimates upon request by doctor or team.
• Obtain patient records and attach to medical files.
• Communicate with nurses on patient status and discharge info.
• Monitor surgery flow and client communications.
• Facilitate patient visits and discharge processes.
• Verify client statements for procedures including euthanasia.
• Cross-check charges for procedures and hospitalization for invoicing.
