Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage the surgery center schedule and coordinate all surgical procedures. The role requires strong communication with surgeons, patients, and staff to ensure smooth throughput and continuity of patient care.

The coordinator may assist with insurance verification and related duties, supporting center leadership and physician offices to optimize block time and scheduling efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical environment preferred.
• 2-3 years of scheduling experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Basic typing and computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Center Schedule and schedule all surgical procedures.
• Enter all necessary information from surgeon or scheduler requesting OR time.
• Coordinate instruments and equipment for each procedure, including understanding limitations and requirements.
• Identify and implement solutions that improve scheduling efficiency and practice.
• Effectively manage utilization, potential efficiencies and communication with physician offices to identify solutions.
• Assists other employees and with other duties as required.
