Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Altoona, WI seeks a dedicated Surgery Buyer / Surgical Technologist to purchase and manage surgical supplies, instruments, implants, and equipment. The role supports safe, efficient procedures and collaborates with perioperative staff and vendors.

Responsibilities include ensuring supply availability, cost-effectiveness, and case readiness while maintaining a safe operating room environment and proper instrumentation preparation.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Source, order, and replenish surgical supplies, instruments, and implants based on case schedules and usage.
• Ensure timely delivery of all items for scheduled and emergent procedures.
• Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and manage availability/back-orders.
• Utilize group purchasing contracts for cost-effective procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock rotation to minimize expiry.
