Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Registration Clerk to manage patient registration, secure authorizations, verify funding, and schedule surgery. You will respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues to keep the intake process smooth.

Qualified candidates have experience with hospital registration systems, knowledge of medical terminology, strong English communication, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with patient registration systems and scheduling tools.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency and basic computer literacy.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Scheduling experience for surgical procedures preferred.
• Willingness to travel to off-site physician practices.
• Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding as applicable.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to interpret and compare different medical insurance plans.
