Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital in Monroe, GA is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our fast-paced operating room team. You will assist physicians during surgery across multiple specialties and help maintain a safe, efficient perioperative environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completed a surgical technology program, and is certified or has 3 years' experience; BCLS is required, CST preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; graduation from Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist required or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire required; CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
