UPMC Community Osteopathic is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Surg/Ortho Unit in Harrisburg. This full-time role supports RN-led patient care, assists with ADLs, transports, and helps maintain a safe and clean patient environment.

You will document in the medical record, respond to call lights, and participate in unit activities while upholding hospital policies. Weekend/holiday rotation applies; starting pay rate may vary based on years of experience.

Aufgaben

• Performs Nursing Assistant tasks under RN supervision, including ADLs such as bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning patients.
• Assists with point of care testing, vital signs, weights, and basic monitoring as directed by the RN.
• Completes medical record documentation according to established procedures.
• Responds to call lights, passes meal trays, and transports patients as part of universal unit activities.
• Maintains patient safety and hospital policy compliance, including safety checks and clean, organized patient rooms.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other departments and reports changes in patient status to the RN.
