Penn Medicine's Orthopedic Unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:30am). You will deliver age-appropriate patient care, assist with hygiene, meals, vital signs, and documentation, and work closely with the RN and interdisciplinary team to maintain high-quality care on the unit.

This is a cross-trained role with duties as Unit Coordinator on the floor, including light clerical and receptionist tasks.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma/GED (Required)
• Basic Life Support (Required)
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
• 0–1 years training/experience at an acute care facility or hospital clinical experience
• 0–1 years previous secretarial skills or healthcare experience

Aufgaben

• Interacts with the patient preserving dignity and privacy
• Bathes patients and assists with hygiene and personal care
• Changes bed linens for occupied and unoccupied beds
• Assists patients with meals and feeds as needed
• Obtains vital signs and weights and records
• Communicates with RN and care team in a timely manner
• Documents patient care according to policy
• Uses equipment and maintains unit readiness and quality initiatives
• Manages charts and labeling of forms
• Performs procedures within policy scope
