Job summary

Our client in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Commercial Surety Product Owner to drive backlog prioritization and translation of business needs into actionable features for diverseSurety platform teams. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to ensure clear acceptance criteria and successful delivery.

You will participate in PI and sprint planning, and support QA during testing and integration efforts, with exposure to complex Surety scenarios across underwriting

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Surety Commercial Insurance or a related business domain.
• 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum; SAFe or PI Planning is beneficial.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence (or similar Agile delivery tools).
• Strong communication across business, product, engineering, and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with Global Surety stakeholders and agile teams to deliver capabilities across the Surety platform.
• Translate business needs into defined features and user stories; maintain and prioritize the backlog.
• Participate in PI and sprint planning, supporting engineering and QA teams.
• Clarify requirements for APIs and system integrations; collaborate during testing and UAT.
