Job summary

Capgemini seeks a Product Owner to partner with Underwriting, Operations, Billing and Product teams, translating business requirements into clear features and acceptance criteria. You will refine the backlog and support planning ceremonies, guiding development and QA through delivery while promoting API-focused data flows and UAT.

Strong communication with stakeholders is essential. Experience in Surety or related insurance domains is highly valued, with 2+ years in agile roles and proficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Surety, Commercial Insurance, Specialty Insurance or related domain.
• Understanding of the Surety bond lifecycle including new business, renewals, cancellations and endorsements.
• 2+ years in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst or similar Agile role.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
• Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and JSON.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Underwriting, Operations, Billing, and Product teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Translate requirements into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and refine product backlogs, supporting PI Planning, sprint planning, reviews, and demos.
• Provide functional guidance to development and QA teams throughout delivery.
• Support system integrations, API-related requirements, and data flow analysis.
• Assist with testing, defect resolution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Document business processes, workflows, and business rules.
