Job summary

Seubert and Associates Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a detail‑oriented assistant to support our Surety Operations team with renewals, licensing, file maintenance, and other administrative duties meant to grow and sustain our client base.

You will learn the basics of the Surety Department, manage bond renewals, licenses, powers of attorney, and coordinate with clients and sureties to secure ongoing relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the basics of the Surety Department.
  • Manage Surety Bond Renewals; communicate with clients on renewals.
  • Licensing and Appointments; maintain licenses and powers of attorney.
  • Assist Account Managers and Underwriting Consultants; respond to client and carrier requests.
  • Maintain administrative operations: file maintenance, memberships, and calendars.
  • Support the Director of Surety Operations as needed.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Surety Operations; provide superior service in expanding and maintaining the Surety Department client base; support the entire team regarding renewals, licensing, file maintenance, and all other operational or administrative duties; provide support for the Vice President of Surety Operations as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Learn the basics of the Surety Department
  • Manage Surety Bond Renewals
    • Communicate with clients on upcoming renewals
  • Licensing and Appointments
    • Maintain a list of department licenses
    • Work with Sureties on new appointments
    • Maintain/Update powers of attorney
  • Assist Account Managers and Underwriting Consultants
    • Respond to client and carrier requests and miscellaneous correspondence
    • Research Agency resources to obtain information requested by clients
    • Develop relationships with clients and surety representatives
    • Obtain and maintain Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Maintain and manage administrative operations for Surety Department optimization
    • Surety file maintenance
    • Renew department memberships
    • Manage team calendar for all events and networking opportunities
    • Set up and verify new eBonds users, ensuring accuracy across all platforms
  • Participate in various tasks assisting the Director of Surety Operations
Certificates/Licenses/Education:

Property & Casualty Insurance License Preferred

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
