Brown & Brown in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Surety Account Manager to handle day-to-day client service for an assigned book of surety bonds. The role collaborates with a Producer or Account Executive and involves clerical, invoicing, and logistics tasks.

The position emphasizes system activity, client communication via email/phone, and in-office presence, with duties including bond preparation, issuance, and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in the insurance industry is required.
• Experience in surety issuance and billing preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
• Prior exposure to Epic or Tinubu is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to client requests for bonds, quotes, or other information.
• Communicate with clients to confirm or clarify what is needed and when.
• Notify Account Executive of items requiring AE attention.
• Maintain open lines of communication about status of open items.
• Input information affecting premiums and commissions and generate invoices.
• Coordinate delivery method of bonds and invoicing to clients (FedEx, UPS, USPS, courier, or in-person).
• Coordinate logistics and drop-offs of envelopes/packages at carrier locations.
• Understand systems for bonds and processing transactions (Tinubu and Epic).
• Provide execution reporting to the surety company and reconcile premium/commission calculations.
