Job summary

MidPen Housing Corp. in Santa Cruz is seeking a Manager of Supportive Housing to lead the organization’s supportive housing strategy across multiple counties.

The role coordinates on-site health programs through third‑party partners, ensures compliance with reporting and service agreements, and builds strong relationships with county systems. You will supervise senior case managers, analyze partnership data, drive continuous improvement, and support staff training to reduce crises and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in a related setting and experience working with diverse backgrounds.
• Master’s Degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Experience in program development, management, and evaluation.
• Experience with managing people.

Responsibilities

• Leads and implements MidPen Services’ supportive housing strategy across a multi-county portfolio.
• Oversees and evaluates third‑party service partnerships delivering on‑site health programs.
• Identifies and secures new partners aligned with MidPen’s criteria.
• Ensures compliance with reporting requirements and service agreements.
• Builds strong relationships with County Mental Health, Health Systems, and other agencies.
• Oversees monthly operational reviews of supportive housing programs.
• Analyzes partnership data and drives continuous improvement for service delivery.
• Supervises senior case managers supporting high‑acuity residents.
• Guides staff training to reduce crises and maintain housing stability.
• Promotes best practices for resident support and housing retention.
• Promotes trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and housing-first service delivery.
• Partners with Property Management and internal teams to address resident crises and operational challenges.
• Supports crisis response planning and escalation protocols across properties.
