DESC is seeking energized Residential Counselors to support individuals in our Permanent Supportive Housing projects. You will assist residents with daily needs, coordinate with clinical staff, and help organize on-site activities, groups, and community meetings.

The role emphasizes working with residents facing serious mental illness and substance use disorders; strong communication, empathy, and crisis-management abilities are essential. This is a unionized, full-time position in Seattle.

Formación

• Understanding of homelessness and related populations.
• Ability to communicate with staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work with clients with challenging behaviors.
• Commitment to cooperative, respectful client care.

Responsabilidades

• Interact with residents in communal areas and milieu.
• Assist clinical staff in coordinating services for residents.
• Promote on-site activities, groups, and community meetings.
• Maintain safety and security and monitor access areas.
• Respond to emergencies and crises as required.
• Write daily logs of events and activities at the project.
• Assist with leasing, turnovers, and inspections.
