Job summary

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent college coursework, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage confidential information while adhering to school policies.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or 2 years of college coursework or pass the Paraprofessional’s Exam
• Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Successful completion of a BCI/FBI background check
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential information respectfully

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with lessons for individuals or groups and follow plans
• Help plan classroom activities and support teacher in student/parent relations
• Support school activities (parent nights, meetings, assemblies, fundraisers, chaperones)
• Perform clerical duties (grading papers, making copies)
• Assist with the use of classroom technology
• Maintain cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom, and other areas
• Align with the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities
• Perform other duties such as field trips and duty responsibilities
